JOB DESCRIPTION (SUMMARY)
Overview: at Our Fundraising Search we believe the best way to help nonprofits achieve their mission is to have sound revenue and fundraising practices, teams and strategies. Our mission is to assist nonprofits with their fundraising needs in order for them to have a lasting impact on those they serve. Our Fundraising Search will deliver high quality service in a cost-efficient manner in a timely fashion.
Internship Guidelines: Our Fundraising Search is seeking a fundraising and communications intern. Interns can be undergraduate or graduate students. Interns can work toward course credit. Limited financial compensation is available. Specific internship period, hours and work agreements are negotiable; at least 8 hours a week of in-office availability is preferred.
Candidates should have a passion for helping nonprofits become more successful at fundraising, our organization’s mission and the ability to play an integral role as we grow and expand our organization. Interns who have and interest in nonprofit work will have the opportunity to gain significant professional experience, playing a lead role in the design and implementation of critical projects, and gaining exposure to every aspect of a dynamic and growing organization.
This internship is part time, with an average work expectation of 16 hours per week.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Research content for and draft email blasts to donors, supporters and other interested parties using constant contact
• Interview, research, or observe programs, donors, or staff
• Monitor and update website content as needed
• Assist with the marketing and logistics for the company
• Provide support for on-going development activities including prospect research, grant research and drafting, and program marketing
• Update communications calendar regularly
• Develop social media marketing, recruitment, and event updates for events including Facebook updates, tweets and Instagram posts
• Manage participant and donor data in DonorSearch
